Cookie Policy — Bido

This Policy explains which cookies and local-storage technologies Bido uses on the usebido.com website and the widgets rendered inside AI assistants — and how you can control them. It complements the Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information across pages and visits. Similar technologies include localStorage (the browser's local storage) and pixels. In this Policy we call all of these "cookies" for simplicity.

Important: the messaging channels where Bido operates — WhatsApp, Instagram, SMS and iMessage — and conversations inside AI assistants do not use cookies of ours. This Policy covers only the web surfaces.

02

Our principle: the bare minimum

Bido uses only strictly necessary and preference cookies. Today we do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting or remarketing networks on any surface.

If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, this Policy will be updated beforehand and, where required by law, you will see a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set.

During card data collection, payment fields may be served by Basis Theory (our PCI DSS Level 1 vault) and use cookies/storage strictly necessary for the secure operation of the field itself — never for tracking.

04

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn, etc.);
  • We do not do cross-site tracking, nor sell browsing data;
  • We do not use device fingerprinting for marketing purposes;
  • We do not condition use of the site on acceptance of non-essential cookies.
05

How to control cookies

Since we only use strictly necessary and preference cookies, there is no consent banner — there is no optional cookie to refuse. You can still:

  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking strictly necessary ones may break sign-in;
  • Clear localStorage to reset the language;
  • Use private browsing mode, which discards cookies when the window closes.

Per-browser guides: allaboutcookies.org. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and "Do Not Track" signals: since we do not sell or share data for advertising, there is no applicable opt-out to signal — behavior is the same with or without the signal.
